“FUN IN THE SON” the annual high energy gospel extravaganza made a exploding impact at the Kingston venue of Jamaica College (JC), last Saturday, March 20. The venue was completely crowded with a multitude of patrons that poured into the giant venue. The musical sounds could be heard from miles around, creating a pulling effect that got the neighbouring community involved. Although the traffic congestion was more than felt by the patrons who had to struggle for parking space, they had smiles on their faces.
The venue was divided into two areas; the first area was dedicated to the children and carried Bounce-a-bouts, Cotton Candy machines, Games and many more attractions that kept the kids more than satisfied as their older family members went on to enjoy the performances. The second area, the main attraction was located more to the back of the JC playing field, and the elaborate stage set up towered to the sky. The patrons eyes lit up, with each new act entering in praise to the name of Jesus Christ.
Much warmth exuded from the audience who sung back to the artistes on stage. Christopher Levy, a director of Jamaica Broilers (the event’s number one sponsor), gave a heart moving speech
